Wavelength References was founded in 1998 by Stephen Blazo and occupies a 2500 sq ft facility in Mulino, Oregon a suburb of Portland. Mr Blazo, a graduate of MIT, has 30+ years experience in a broad range of technologies including, high vacuum, electron optics, digital signal processing, circuit design, fiber optics, sensing, and system design and holds over ten patents. Dorothy Blazo is in charge of our process control and manufacturing. Dorothy has over 15 years experience in chemistry, process engineering, liquid crystals, photolithography, and high tech manufacturing. We have extensive contacts in the standards community with organizations such as NIST(National Institute of Standards and Technology) and HITRAN (High-resolution transmission molecular absorption database chaired at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics).
We are a small but dynamic company that welcomes fresh challenges within our broad mission.
